Description
In our Bothell, WA site, we are adding Network and Server administration functionality that was previously supplied by other sites. Join our growing IT team, and participate in the installation and building of our newly localized service.
The Server Administrator will build, manage and maintain windows infrastructure in an FDA regulated workplaces, successfully understanding, writing, and developing documentation on systems as required. The Server Administrator will report to the Senior Laboratory & Business Information System Architect, working closely with a network Administrator, a second Server Administrator, and a Client Support Engineer.
The ideal candidate is dedicated to hands-on IT work, interested in learning more in their field and contributing to the goals of the team and the wider goals of the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Planning, documentation & implementation of server technologies
· Definition, implementation & monitoring of critical services & aspects of server health
· Strong written documentation skills
· Perform on-site & remote technical support
· Make recommendations for new equipment & services to purchase
· Monitor, plan and coordinate the installation of hotfixes & service packs
· Maintain the SQL server environment (backups, setup of new databases)
· Strong understanding of client system imaging technologies (Ghost, Acronis, etc..)
· Ability to build standard client images
· VBS/PowerShell experience required
· Assist the Network & Server administrators with automated tasks (deployments, inventory, configurations, etc...)
· Strong knowledge of building solutions within SharePoint required
· Strong knowledge of Hyper-V Virtualization technologies required
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Bachelor of Science degree or higher in an appropriate discipline*
Experience Minimum of 3 years of direct server management experience, or 5+ years of general system administration experience. FDA regulated experience (GLP or GMP) is a plus.
Skills Fluency in scripting languages and automation is required. Excellent documentation skills are required. Experience with SQL server management a plus.
Knowledge Understand the requirements of FDA regulation on IT infrastructure. MSCE or MSCA certification is preferred.

Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, stand for prolong periods of time and have the ability and willingness to work some weekends, evenings and/or holidays with advance notice.
